"If it looks like a thing it is a thing. Sorry lady. It is not normal. Kind of been here a long ass time and that is not normal." Felix shot back before eying the douche to end all douches. AKA the motherfucker who made fun of his horns. Fucker. "Dude it isn't though. It isn't so what ifs and could have beens do not fucking matter. The thing is a thing is a thing. I assure you that thing was not created by my creator. Or was it? Would Ditis create something with out telling? Was he getting bored? need to throw a wrench in the game of death? But he had never been that way before....so why now?
And then voice of reason seemed to come in the form of Callum and Felix felt himself swell some with that fact that he had seemed to make the right decision. Jackassery he was made of, but Callum he forever admired. He was totally not a fan girl. Nope. Not at all. Nope. But it eased his growing agitation and confusion in knowing that Ditis must not have done this. Because surely if he had Callum would know right? Because Callum was his right hand man?
"Fuck asses messin' up the whole order of things." He muttered as the green man crew started to draw up the battle lines. Gods. Why couldn't people just see that the thing needed to get the fuck out of dod- and then another major player stepped in the field. Ditis's wife herself. Felix swallowed. Good. Surely she would talk some-hahahaaha whaat? Did she just say to let the thing be?

Although it should have been clear enough to those humans that there was a reason for his and the guards’ presence, they continued on in ignorance. At least the one underling he saw among the collection of humans had some sense. He was thankful for one voice of reason among the protests. Nevertheless, the small group stood against him and his fellow underlings. “Get away from that creature.” Callum repeated with more force entered his voice.
He was created by Ditis before all other underlings and he had seen his fair share of things, but the creature was nothing he had ever seen. Children weren’t ever, whether human or underling, present in the underworld. He wasn’t too sure what Ditis did with the souls of babies and children or why underlings were created as adults, but he never questioned it. Ditis knew what was right for the underworld. He couldn’t allow this foreign creature free. It could prove dangerous after all.
Callum’s eyes fell on the sword drawn from the green clad man’s sheath in an obvious threat to Ditis’s personal assistant. He could almost laugh at the idea of a mere human trying to take him on single handedly, yet he was hardly one to preen his own ego. Instead he raised an eyebrow at the group then moved his eyes back to the child thing. Its wounds oozed something that wasn’t blood. It looked like sludge. Weren’t they at all alarmed by that?
He parted hips lips to speak, but froze in horror as Aristi stepped through the parting crowd and between the guards and the foolish citizens. The horror and dread filling him only lasted a moment as a protective urge rose up to replace it. “Aristi. It is not safe to be so close to that thing.” He signaled the guards to lower their weapons, knowing better than to go against the wife of Ditis. It didn’t stop him and a few other guards to place themselves into a protective circle around her.

✗ As the woman wrapped arms about him and cradled him to her chest he felt, for that brief moment, the safety he had been seeking. He could feel the warmth that radiated from her, her scent filling his nostrils. Watery blue eyes turned up to look at the woman's face as she kissed him on the head. His heart swelled and he wished that she were his mother, that he'd found her and that he'd never leave the safety of her arms. Sniffling he curled into a tight ball in her grasp, pressing his face into her tank top while a tiny hand grasped onto one of the straps. Almost as if in fear she'd let him go and he'd be alone again.
He could hear the others talking, feline ears twitching at all of the harsh tones. They kept calling him a 'thing'. He was… he was a He. Not a thing. He tried to recall his name but just like his mother's face, he could not seem to find the answer in his head. He gave a quiet sob into the woman's chest. Did he not even have a name? He- he had nothing. No name, no mother, nothing but the mud on his skin. He wasn't a thing. He was a Nothing.
But even a Nothing, he didn't want to be taken away. He didn't want to leave the protection of this woman's arms. Trembling he peered out at the crowd, at the man with sewn lips. This man seemed to be in control of the big men with weapons. His ears folded back against his skull and he gave a weak hiss in the man's direction but it was short lived as he saw the big men moving, forming a circle around another woman. Fearfully he pressed his face back into the human's shirt and whimpered.
"I- I don't wanna go with them. P-please."

[/div] She held the child to her chest and hunched over him protectively, she wish she had a child of her own. Willow never got the chance to have one maybe if they couldn't find his mother she could keep him. Maybe she could tell him he never had a mother and have him to herself, that's selfish isn't it? She squeezed her eyes shut as the thought of lying tumbled around in her brain. Could she even do it?
Her thoughts were cut short when the dark-haired man spoke to her. She opened her eyes and looked at him. At least they were on the same page and just then the guy in green spoke up. At least they had a plan not a safe one or peaceful but it was a plan. She tried to tell herself it was a good idea but the moment he pulled out his sword she stumbled backwards in surprise. "Th-Th-This doesn't seem very smart."
Willow heard a voice in the crowd, a new voice, a woman's voice. When Willow saw who it is she never knew that she could feel so scared. She began to quiver and back away. This isn't good, this isn't good idea. What is she doing, what has she done? "Your Grace!" she immediately bowed her head but wanted to slap herself seconds after. Whenever she got nervous she reverted back to old habits. Even so she kept her eyes low.
The only thing keeping her sane now was the quiet voice of the boy in her arms. "They won't take. I won't let them. You're going to stay with me until it's time for you to go." Who was she ever talking to? Willow shuffled backwards trying to hide behind the taller guy with black hair. Her nervousness eased with less people being able to see her. She peeked out from behind the tall guy and struggled to smile. "Queen Aristi, I'm sorry you had to see this quarrel. My deepest apologizes, this child has seemed to cause a debate and I feared what would be done if we didn't step in. We, like you, don't see a threat or a thing as some have rudely called him but a child." After her rather long quiet speech she slipped back into her hiding place. As if this day couldn't get worse.

Seiji felt extremely uneasy around all these opposing eyes. He wasn't sure what they would do with the kid had they surrender him to them. But he was sure they weren't going to help him find his mother. By the way they were looking at him, talking about him, they weren't here to help. More like terminate what they thought was a threat. He expected the underlings to be a little less... Close minded. But like humans, they feared what they didn't understand. Seiji didn't know much about the underlings or their superiors. But he knew they weren't too far off from humans when it came to train of thought.
The crowd only seemed to be growing more dense as time went on. And more guards were accumulating around them. Shit, this was about to get ugly. Seiji glanced back at the man in green and then back at the opposing underlings and guards. He was going to make a scene for them? Hell yeah. This guy had a sword too. That didn't clear up their problems, but it did make things a little easier.
As Seiji braced himself, he eased up as he saw a woman emerge from the crowd. While he could ignore the underlings and their opposition, he couldn't ignore the woman before them. She was a pretty important figure down here in the underworld, he thought. Seiji turned his attention to her, feeling a huge weight lift off his shoulders as he heard that she might be on their side. They couldn't touch them when the queen supported them right...? Even though the other two were still against the kid even being here in the first place?
Seiji remained quiet, curious as to where this was going to go now that the queen had arrived.

"Not safe?" she repeated, an incredulous pitch in her voice. "Callum, I'll repeat myself as many times as I have to: I see no danger. I see a child who hasn't done anything, and weapons being pointed at it. I don't need protection." The guards that had decided to circle around her were unnecessary in her eyes, but didn't have the heart to forcibly push them away. They were trying to protect her, no matter if there was actually threat or not, after all. Looking at them and turning her head in an attempt to glance at every one of them, she said, "So if you'd please, disperse yourselves."
This was a situation that could easily get out of control. If she could she'd want to settle it as quickly as possible, but just how to do that with so many people and even Ditis' right hand present...
A voice piped up from behind her, however, that successfully pulled the blonde out of her thoughts. Whirling around, she saw it came from a red haired girl, the one the child seemed most attached to. Interesting... The formalities the girl slipped into her speech were enough to make the queen smile despite the situation, and moved to get closer to her. Through guards and the man she was behind currently, however, Aristi only managed to take a few steps.
"Just Aristi is fine, no need for 'Queen' or 'Your Grace'. And there isn't a need to apologize either; you did what you thought was right." But even if she sympathized with them, there was still the fact that this child was odd. The answer, however, wasn't to pout weapons at him and take him into custody.
"If the child doesn't protest, I would like to have a closer look at him. All alone, and enough to cause a fuss, I'm curious about who he is." Turning back to Callum and the others who obviously hadn't sided with the humans, "I'm sure I could clear up any misunderstandings if I must as well."

As much as he didn’t want to do anything that went against Aristi and Ditis by relation, he knew the creature being guarded by the humans wasn’t natural. If any danger befell not only his underling brethren but the humans or even Aristi, he would never be able to face Ditis. She, however, seemed set in this notation that she knew better than he did of what belonged in the underworld. He was Ditis’ right hand! He was there through the creation of everything that appeared in the realm.
Not only was she putting her followers in danger and herself. Everything about the child was just wrong. From the black sludge oozing from his self-inflicted wounds to the fact that this was a child, it was just wrong. Didn’t anyone around here know there were no children, underling or human, in the underworld? What if this thing was, in fact, dangerous and his precious Anette was taken from him along with all the people around him? He couldn’t allow it!
Nevertheless, Aristi continued to act carelessly, even approaching the thing despite the danger. He stepped forward and put his arm out despite her orders. “I’m sorry Aristi, but I cannot allow this. I understand you are Ditis wife and a woman to be respected, but I am afraid your judgment may not be the best for everyone in this situation. I will call Ditis here so please stand back until he arrived.” His actions may have earned him reprimanding later on, yet he was hardly concerned.
Being one of Ditis’ first creations, he liked to think he was linked to the man in some way as he possessed the ability to call to him. He sent out a message to his creator, hoping his arrival would come swiftly. This situation was being complicated by the defiance of the humans and Aristi’s meddling. He had hoped not to disturb the man and, unfortunately, it had come to that. “Ditis will arrive shortly. Please step back from the child,” A note of disdain was hinted in the word. “And let him tell you himself of its danger.”

✗ Something was wrong, something was amiss in his world. He could feel it in the very tethers of the Underworld's essence. For most of the day Ditis had been staring out the office window toward the far-off edges of the city with a look of unease. He could not explain this feeling in his gut but he didn't like it. Something wasn't right. And finally as an attendant rushed in, hastily speaking of a child-like creature in the Asphodel plaza he knew that his senses had not betrayed him. The silent summoning by Callum only further engrained this.
With haste he'd made his way to the plaza, seeing before him a crowd of humans and underlings. Gray brows furrowed in concern and he quickened his pace. The several large guards beside him did likewise. They were all stout Series A Underlings, possessing not only the weapons in their hands but powers as well. Whatever this creature was, these men could surely handle.
The crowd seemed to sense the presence of the god coming and a path was cleared, a hush settling over many. The tall man strode forward, his aged face rigid and stern. Blue eyes scanned over the entire scene from Callum and his guards surrounding Aristi to the rag tag team of humans in the center holding-
His eyes narrowed immediately as they locked on the child creature. Not a detail was missed by the deity. The wound oozing a black liquid, the strangeness of his form, and the mud…. The mud. From even where he stood he knew where that mud was from. And that only concerned him more. This child, this creature, it had come from the Tartarus Swamp. From the shadows where not even his Watchers could see. That swamp was old, far older than even Ditis' precious Underworld, and was not of the god's make. If something came from Tartarus… it couldn't be good.
"Release the child." His voice easily boomed over the crowd, cold and stern. "Release the child and step away from him. All of you." He motioned with his hand for Callum to draw Aristi further away from the collection of humans in the center. He began to draw nearer, the Series A Underlings close at his sides.

✗ There was so much going on that the child could barely comprehend, barely follow. There were so many people now, so many different voices speaking in different tones. He felt a stress well up inside of him, feeding off of his fear and nervousness. His hands curled tighter into the woman's clothes and he only felt solace in being held to her chest. It was the feeling of a mother's hold, warm and protective. It reminded him of the orb in the swamp, how it bathed him in its presence. With a whimper he pressed his face into the crook of the woman's neck, mud smeared onto her skin as he did so.
Time for him to go? What did she mean time for him to go? Fear caused a nausea to rise in his stomach and he hunched over more in her arms, drawing his legs up as best as he could. Where would he go? He- he had nowhere to go. No one to go to. He knew the voice in the back of his head was right in telling him he had no mother. But- but maybe this woman could be his mother. Was that too much to hope for? It seemed so, with the way these big men were acting.
He heard the other woman talking again, her voice sweet on his ears. She was something else, something different than these people around him. There was a ethereal aura to her, something kind and gentle. But this did not ease him. As she spoke about looking at him closer he whimpered and shook his head, holding to the red-headed woman desperately. He didn't want to leave her arms.
His face remained hidden against her neck as the talking continued, the more vocal of the big men trying again to make them leave him alone. What had he done wrong? Why were they doing this to him? He wasn't danger. He just- he just didn't want to be alone! He began to sob again, unable to contain the tears. "I'm not dangerous. I just want my mama," he said between choked sobs.
But then there was another voice. A new voice. One that sent shivers running up his spine and to bring his cries to a quieter state. The voice was loud and echoed over the heads of everyone, causing his ears to lay flat as if to protect themselves from the sound. Sniffling he turned his head just the slightest to let a blue eye peer out at the man.
Instantly his eyes widened. He'd seen this man's face before, the memory dark and vague but still there. Where had he seen him? Why had he seen him? Suddenly the voices were back in his head again, louder than they'd ever been. Rather than calm and soothing they sounded desperate and almost weak. Instinctively he put a hand to his forehead, the assault of inner vocals overwhelming. They were all trying to tell him something but he couldn't understand them, couldn't focus on their words. There was something about this man. Something that scared them. That scared him. Dropping his hand he hissed at the man, leaning into the woman who held him. He bared his fangs in hostility, the slits of his eyes widening just as they had before.

[/div] Feelings quite munb Willow patted the boy's head before carefully extending closer to the Queen. He didn't seem to wants to go and she didn't really want to let him go but what the Queen wants she gets right? "Thank you." she whispered towards the Aristi. She could help them, she would help keep him safe. That brought a big smile to her face but that was cute quite short when Callum interrupted with grave news.
Willow knew that if Ditis coming would mean the end of the child and she couldn't let that happen. She instantly brought the boy back to her chest and nestled her check into his muddy hair. He's just a child, a little boy. What harm could he do?
That when she began to shake, she didn't want to get in trouble. She had lived in the underworld for hundreds of years and was a model citizen. Now look at her, she was practically a criminal hoarding a fugitive. Her knees were beginning to buckle but she had to stay strong not for her but for the boy.
He needed calm, something stable, if that's what he needed she'd be his anchor. That mentality crumbled the moment the booming voice of Ditis rang out in the crowd. She could not, she would not let him go. He was strange, no one liked strange especially the dead. She had to disobey even if it pained her to. Though she held fast Willow felt a whimper of fear escape her lips.
She felt movement in her arms and she looked down at her seemingly pained child, yes he was her's now. "Baby, what's wrong?" she mumbled. Willow didn't get a response back but the boy made a move, something that would come back to bite them later. "No, no, no." she said.
Willow rocked him back and forth in her arms hoping that would soothe him again. He was making himself seem dangerous. "Don't do that my child, they'll take you if you do." she said trying to convince him. She glanced up at Ditis and flinched at his cold gaze. "Please I don't want them to take you." she said again feeling defeated. She was fighting a losing battle.

This was going absolutely nowhere. Just what the hell were they supposed to do? All these people. All these jerks trying to take this defenseless kid away. For what? They only said he was dangerous. Thats all they were saying. No cold, hard, undeniable proof that this kid was any harm to anyone. Hell, even the Queen was against it all! Why were they so fixated on taking him? Seiji couldn't understand or even try to understand any of this. They were treating the kid like he was a ticking time bomb. Like he could permanently nuke the whole entire underworld. What gives?
Seiji watched Aristi attempt to quell the underlings, but still they argued that the child was dangerous. That he needed to be removed right away. They wouldn't even listen to their queen. And with that, one of them was already calling Ditis. The big man, the creator, god of this world. There was no way that anyone out here could oppose him! H-He created everything here. This guy was the one giving everyone in this whole world second chances. Granting them another life.
"Ditis..." he mumbled, glancing from the child to the direction of a new, strong presence.
Seiji could tell when Ditis had appeared. The air grew heavy, suffocating. He immediately felt like he should have knelt down and put his face to the ground when a booming voice sounded over all else. Made everything stop, go completely silent. He heard the kid protesting in the background... But there was nothing they could do anymore. They couldn't win this fight.
"Ditis, sir, why is this one kid so big of a deal? If he was so dangerous, wouldn't he have done something by now instead of drawing attention to himself?"
This was unwise. Unspeakable. He shouldn't have talked back to Ditis like this. After he'd given a command. Seiji for once felt extremely unnerved. He'd be shuddering if he weren't any stronger. But he had to know why.

His claims had fallen on ears made deaf by ignorance and stubbornness, resisted by first curious humans than the queen herself. In the end he called his creation who knew better than anyone what was best for the residents of his realm. Callum couldn’t help but feel a spark of satisfaction as Ditis’ words back up his every claim. Of course he had been right; he was Ditis’ right hand man. He had there through most of this realms creation and the birth of his junior underlings.
Unfortunately, something about the creator’s presence elicited a different reaction from the child who had mostly cowered into the arms of the redhead. He felt himself tense, fingers opening and closing as he prepared himself for the worst. Should things go wrong, he wouldn’t allow anyone to be armed. He noted with a hint of disdain that if the worse came to pass, it could have been avoided if the human’s had listened. Sure it was in their nature to question, but they should have known better.
As he was ordered, he guided the god’s wife away from the creature with a ring of underlings surrounding her in a protective circle. He trained a cautious eye on the group, especially the child. It was undeniably that it did indeed look harmless, but it was even more obvious that something wasn’t right. The sludge it bled should have been a dead giveaway if the fact that it was a child wasn’t enough. There was no further argument, however, except one human insisted on it.

✗ These humans were so taken by the look of this creature, by the innocence it's tiny form held. It made them stubborn, even rebellious to their god. Ditis' brows slowly knitted together as he listened and watched. What was the big deal about one child? He was not dangerous if he had yet to do anything? Here stood the difference between he and his subjects. They did not understand, they couldn't see what he saw. The mud itself was the largest sign of something foul or foreign.
He could not blame the humans for not knowing how grim the presence of just the mud was. The Tartarus Swamp was not a place they knew about but that it was to be avoided. Callum had enough foresight to see the potential danger at the very least, something his wife apparently did not. Ditis had not made this child and it did not come from the realm of the living. So by what means was it created?
His expression remained stern as he slowly closed the gap between he and the humans, this child-like creature. "There are just some things that are not as they seem," he replied in a knowing tone. He stood before the group now, his two guards on each side of him. He stared down at the child that was hissing at him, eyes roaming over the mud-stained features and down to the wounded leg. Yes, this was definitely not human nor underlings.
"I'm sorry but if you will not release him, we will have to take him." He hated to be cruel like this, he really did. But it was for the sake of these people that he was. He could not afford to let this mysterious creature roam his city without knowing what it was. And if the humans would not release him, even at the order of their God, then he would have to take the child forcibly. The decision weighed heavy on his heart but these were the choices that a ruler had to make. That he had to make.
With a wave of his hand one of the Series A guards at his sides lowered his weapon and quickly stepped forward to close the final gap between himself and the red-haired female. Large hands reached out to grab the child by his bare waist and start to pull him away from the woman.

✗ The voices were still frantic within his head, stressing him out and making the fear within him escalate. He didn't want this man around. He didn't want to be near him. The woman's attempts to rock and to sooth him did nothing to quell these feelings. Her voice was drowned out by the ones in his head, their wails growing louder the closer the gray-haired man came. His heart was thudding loudly in his chest and goosebumps crawled along his flesh. As the large man looked down at him he hissed again. It was all he could do to try and chase him off.
But it wasn't working. No, this man was adamant. He said he would take him by force and this filled the tiny boy with more terror. His eyes widened as the guard stepped forward. No. No, no, no! He didn't want to be taken! He didn't want to leave the warmth and protection of this woman's arms. "M-mama," he wailed out instinctively in desperation and tried to keep ahold of her. But he could feel his grip slipping as the underling grabbed him by the waist and began to extract him from the human's arms.
He couldn't go with them. He couldn't go with this man! The voices in his head were screeching at this point, causing his skull to pound in pain and his ears to ring. He squeezed his eyes shut a moment and dug claws into the fabric of the shirt. "No," he screamed. He wouldn't go!
In a frantic attempt to be released he let go of the woman's shirt with one hand and brought nails down to dig deep into the back of underling's hand. As he did an angry growl rose from his lips and the slits of his eyes widened to a point his gaze was completely engulfed in the black hue. "I won't go!"
Within seconds the guard was screaming, a searing pain springing from his hand where the child attacked him. He yanked his hands away and wheeled backwards. He continued to scream in agony as he raised his wounded hand. It was bleeding where the child had assaulted him but the mere nail wounds were not the only source of his suffering. Blossoming from the wounds his skin was turning pitch black and into a sludge-like texture. As the Underling screamed and watched in terror the ooze devoured his arm, quickly spreading out onto his shoulders and then down his body and up his neck.
Not but a minute had passed and the man was no longer a recognizable form, the remnants of his body crumpled to the ground and absorbed in this thick, black sludge. The screams were silenced and all was still for a moment, the child once more clinging to the woman in his terror and hiding his face in her neck to not witness this scene. Then with a sucking sound a bubble rose in the ooze. As it popped a soft white orb appeared, floating just above this deformed corpse of the Underling before it began to make it's way toward the boy.

[/div] It was blur after that, just a large blob of events that Willow couldn't make sense of. All of it seemed to happen too fast, too soon. The moment Ditis appeared the red head zones out and just went numb. She could see people's mouths moving but no sounds. It was like everything went mute. The only thing that she could feel and hear was the little bundle in her arms. Willow wouldn't stay in her daze forever as the scene in front of her sped up and she was slammed with a wall of noise.
Willow's blank stare forward narrowed as she felt the boy being yanked from her arms. "No!" she yelled trying her best to keep him but the guard was too strong. The girl tried to keep the tears bubbling in her eyes down but the harder she tried the worst the burning got. "No." she said with a sob as he was pulled farther and farther away. That's when things got bad, very very bad. She only saw the claw fly and then agonizing screaming but the damage was done. All that was left of the guard was a black blob on the ground. Willow seriously began to cry at that point.
She wrapped her arms around the boy and sobbed into his hair. "What have you done?" she said. Willow ran her quivering fingers through her hands to comfort him but honestly the boy was the only thing keeping her from falling to her knees. He didn't mean to kill him, did he? No. He couldn't have. It was an accident, a mistake. Ditis could fix it, he could fix everything. Willow rocked him side to side as she cried clinging to the hope that the boy wouldn't be killed. A life for a life. She glanced up and noticed a ball floating towards them. Willow took a step back and turned to hide him away but it just kept coming.
