[atrb=border,0,bltable]✗ It was party night and D'Shaun was feeling... a little lonely. Where was someone to party with him? Where was someone to groove with him? To pump it up and break it down? At home with his damn cat. Really, Nemo was no fun at all. All the guy did was bedazzle and roller skate. If D' said he was going to the roller disco then yeah sure Nemo would be all down for that. But go out for drinks? Hell nah. Ugh, you'd figure after centuries of working side by side they would be the best of bros but nope.
So here he was at Club Neo by himself. Normally it didn't bother D'Shaun. He could get shit faced and party hard alone all day any day. But today he just wanted some company. Maybe I need to find a new lady friend, he spoke aloud to himself, accepting another shot of vodka from the bartender. He hadn't been here for long so he could only feel the faint tinkling of a buzz settling in on him. The music was pounding loudly in his ears and he could feel the heat of the numerous bodies against his own form. He loved clubbing, he really did. So it was frustrating he felt so down right now.
Damn it! I came here to enjoy myself, and that is just what I'm going to do, he said with a look of determination. Spinning around on his stool to face the dance floor he downed his shot with a throw back of his head. He grinned as the liquid burned going down. Woo! Fuck Nemo's boring ass! He exclaimed loudly and tossed his arms in the air briefly. Slamming the shot glass down on the counter afterwards he pushed off of his stool and headed for the dance floor, wings folded behind him and horns softly reflecting the flashing lights of the room.
Determined to enjoy himself he beelined toward the first person he saw not bumping and grinding someone. Putting on a lazy smirk he stopped in front of them. Hey there hot stuff, wanna dance? | [atrb=valign, bottom] |

[atrb=valign, top] ❝ I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT ❞ January might not have been dancing with the rest of the club goers, but she was furtively looking at the ground as if it might contain all the secrets in the entire Underworld, pulling her hair behind her ears and looking very distressed indeed. The relative darkness of the club did nothing to alleviate her irritation, and, pursing her lips, she squinted down at the ground, gently pushing someone out of her way as she tried to find what she so desperately sought. A familiar voice briefly interrupted her, although she hardly processed the words that were said.
”N-not now, D’Shaun!” she replied anxiously, biting her lower lip. She’d barely given him a glance before she was back to looking at the ground, this time squatting down, reaching out with her fingers tentatively, only to retract them to avoid being stepped on. ”I lost it!” There was a pause that only managed to highlight her half-sob. ”My coin! I-I lost it! It rolled away somewhere and now I can’t find it – !” Oh god, now she was going to start crying. How could she have been so stupid as to lose her coin?
She hadn’t been doing much with it. She’d only done what she usually did, really! She’d tossed it into the air. She would have caught it, she would have, but someone had bumped into her, sending the Underling off balance. The coin had just barely collided with her fingers before it hit the ground, rolling away. She’d followed it, of course, and that was why she was in such a frantic frenzy now. The thought of losing the coin was too horrible for Jan to handle. She’d been stupid to play with it in such a crowded place, but she’d just wanted to see how it looked, reflected in the flashing lights of the night club. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:300px, btable] ❝ d'shaun ❞ ❝ 000 words ❞ ◤

See. The problem with babysitting was that. It wasn't in her job description when she had signed on to be a secretary for the sorters. Not that she really signed on at all. More like was obligated to do it. But whatever got her through the night without going completely insane. Nemo had tasked her with the ever so pleasant adventure that came with rounding up D'Shaun's drunken ass - as he presumed that was what the other had the intentions of doing - once the night was over. At first, she had refused. And then it occurred to her what events of mass destruction would have occurred if she left him to his own devices for even one night.
So with that final thought, Bambi sacrificed her Friday night once more to save all women and men and anything that even remotely had a pulse from the other. But maybe that was a little mean. She supposed she couldn't say that he was always that annoying. Well. Like. .99% of the time he was annoying and Bambi found herself resisting the urge to choke him. But that was life. For any great hero came a great responsibility. This guy just happened to be her's.
Upon checking the usual places that drinks could be purchased, she later found herself arriving at Club Neo. Where after an argument about how old she was - she was an underling for god's sake, she had no goddamn age - Bambi fit herself in with the crowd. People were bumping up and grinding against one another to music that made no sense and just. Ugh. Clubs were not her scene and never would be her scene at that. Now where was h- oh. Well. That was easier than she had thought it'd be.
Bambi waded through the crowd, yanking herself free from the sea of people to stumble over towards the two underlings. She dusted herself off, shuddering at the fact people got so handsy in this place. She glanced between the two, the woman resting her hands on her hips and sighing gently. "Wtf did you do? If she says no, then she means no." Poor, poor mixed up D'Shaun. Always harassing these poor people. Never was going to catch a break, was he?
Evidently. It had yet to occur to her that the other underling was more concerned about a lost coin rather than D'Shaun trying to get his hands in her trunk. Oh well. Shit happens.

[atrb=border,0,bltable]✗ It took D'Shaun a moment to realize who he'd approached. That face looked actually familiar, and upset. As his name was spoken though it clicked. January! Psh duh, he hadn't been hitting the shots that hard. Awh come on chickadee. Just one d-… He paused, cocking his head in confusion. What was she doing? Normally January was such a cheery little girl. And definitely not so cruel as to blow him off like this! Frowning he leaned down to watch her, smacking a person or two with his horns by accident as he did.
Before he could ask what she was doing or what she was looking for she spoke up. A coin? She was looking for a coin? Hmmmm. Oh that's right, she was always playing with some coin when they hung out. It had to be that one. What was so important about a coi- oh shit she was going to cry. Awh, he couldn't stand it when people cry! Quickly he waved his hands at her. Hey hey hey, sweetpea, don't stress. I'll help ya' find it, he said quickly, giving a reassuring smile. He didn't want to see her cry or be upset. And hey, if he helped her find the coin maybe she'd give him that dance. Oh or maybe a kiss! Hehehehe.
Before he could start to help search a second familiar female voice hit his ears. This one he didn't have to take a moment to recognize. He heard it every single day of his life. Bambi. Turning around he gave her a quizzical look. I didn't do anything, he said defensively before pouting. Jan-Jan lost her coin and I was going to help her find it! Geesh Bambi could be such a meanie to him sometimes. He wasn't that mean to the ladies! She always thought the worst of him. But… he still loved her so he supposed he couldn't think too cruelly of the girl.
Help us look Bamb, he said before starting to shoo people away from where they were standing. It wasn't hard when you had just large horns like he did or wings you could spread out to smack people with the somewhat glittery appendages. Slowly a space around January was being cleared, giving her more room to look on the floors for the coin without getting her fingers stepped on. See? He could totally be a good guy. Take that Bambi! Hey, maybe his gentlemanly actions would get him a kiss and a dance from her too!
